Dr Le Anh Tuan
CEO and Chief Investment Officer
After starting his career at Merrill Private Wealth Management, Dr Tuan joined Dragon Capital first as Chief Economist then as Head of Research in 2010, before becoming Deputy CIO in 2016, Co-Portfolio Manager of the IPO/Placing Platform in 2017, and then CIO in January 2023. Dr Tuan serves on the Investment Committees for all of Dragon Capital’s equity and fixed-income funds. He graduated from Willamette University’s MBA programme and has a PhD in Economics from Pennsylvania State University in the US.

Will Ross
Chief Marketing and Distribution Officer
Will’s career in finance spans nearly three decades and global banks including J.P. Morgan, Merrill Lynch, HSBC and Citi. He initially researched structured credit and finance, before moving on to capital markets product development and financing solutions, plus investment banking services for wealthy Asian families. He also spent time at Lazada, playing a key role in the end-to-end management of the e-commerce group’s cross-border marketplace. Will is a CFA and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics & Philosophy from Queen’s University, Canada.

Phan Thi Tuy Van
Chief Financial Officer
Van worked as an auditor for HCMC’s Tax Department before spending 12 years at British American Tobacco, culminating in her role as Head of Strategic Planning. Van joined Dragon Capital as Financial Controller in 2007 and became CFO in 2016. She graduated from HCMC University of Finance and Accounting with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance & Accounting. She is also a member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) and qualified as a Certified Public Accountant in Australia.
Gavin Patterson
Chief Risk Officer
Gavin began his career at MD Management, an asset management firm for Canadian doctors, initially specialising in accounting and treasury projects, before moving on to portfolio analysis and investment performance. Gavin’s tenure at Dragon Capital began in 2007 with a remit to expand the firm’s risk and analytics capabilities. He graduated from Mount Allison University, Canada with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting & Management Information Systems. He also holds an MSc in Portfolio Risk & Investment Management and a Diploma in Software Development.
Pham My Hanh
Chief Operating Officer, Investment Services
Hanh has more than 25 years finance and investment experience spanning Vietnam, the US, Singapore, and Canada. Her career includes roles at TIM Investment & Management Consulting, Unilever, State Street Bank, Citibank, Bank of America, and VID Public Bank. In 2013, she joined Dragon Capital as an SMA client Portfolio Manager, then became department head before being appointed COO, Investment Services. Hanh is a Fulbright Scholar with an MBA from the Business School of Rochester Institute of Technology in the US. She is also a certified CIMA member and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).

Pham Nguyen Vinh
Head of Corporate Communications
After launching his career at Peregrine Capital Vietnam in the early 1990s, Vinh joined the Danish Consulate General and then Tetra Pak, where he held a number of roles in Vietnam and the Philippines. He joined Dragon Capital as a Corporate Development Director in 2007 with responsibility for public relations and corporate communications. He also leads the ESG team, overseeing the firm’s responsible investment activities and stakeholder initiatives. Vinh holds a Master’s Degree in Business Management from the Netherlands’ Maastricht School of Management.
Luong Thi My Hanh
Head of Domestic Asset Management
My Hanh has been working in finance and investment since Vietnam’s stock market came into operation in 2000. She joined Vietnam Investment Fund Management (VFM) in its early days as a research specialist and Investment Portfolio Manager, successfully introducing new products including open-end funds and Vietnam’s first domestic ETFs. From 2021, she became Dragon Capital’s Director of Domestic Asset Management. My Hanh graduated from HCMC University of Economics and has an MBA from the UK’s Gloucestershire School. She also has CFA certification.
Dang Nguyet Minh
Head of Research
Minh started her career with Dragon Capital as a Financial Analyst. In 2018, she was promoted to Deputy Head of Research, extending her coverage to a broad range of industries, including retail and financial services, in addition to leading many types of equity deals. She now heads a Research team of 19 analysts and officers. Minh has served on the Supervisory Board of HCMC Securities Company (HSC) since 2012 and became Chairwoman of its Audit Committee in 2021. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics & Business Administration from Coe College in the US.

Appointed May 1995
Dominic’s investing career spans nearly four decades across London, Hong Kong and Vietnam. He co-founded Dragon Capital in 1994 after spending two years at Hanoi University. Since then, he has also co-founded the Vietnam Institute of Directors (VIOD), becoming Vice Chairman and the non-profit Wildlife at Risk, which combats illegal wildlife trading. His accolades include an OBE from Queen Elizabeth II, and a Labour Medal from the President of Vietnam. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law & Sociology from Exeter University in the UK.

Tran Thanh Tan
Non-Executive Director
Tan has over three decades investment and capital markets experience, first at investment bank Peregrine Capital Vietnam and then at Dragon Capital, which he co-founded in 1994. At Dragon, Capital, he held the position of Director of Investment and Capital Markets until 2003. Tan is actively involved in Vietnam’s financial sector as a Standing Member of the Listed Companies Club, a Member of the Securities Business Association and Chairman of the Vietnamese Fund Management Club. He has a Master’s Degree in Management from Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium.

Le Anh Minh
Executive Director and CEO Emeritus
Minh, a Fulbright Scholar, graduated from Vietnam’s Banking University in 1991. He then joined Peregrine, where he completed Vietnam’s first M&A deal with the take-over of Dai Nam Bank. He helped restructure the bank and ran its business development and credit activities. In 1996-98, Minh attended Wharton Business School, earning an MBA and then returning to Vietnam as Coca-Cola’s regional Financial Services Manager. Minh joined Dragon in 2002 and served as CFO until 2015, when he became CEO. He stepped back from this position in Dec 2017 to pursue a doctoral degree in business. Minh sits on the Board of Ho Chi Minh Securities.
Beat Schuerch

Beat has worked in Southeast Asia since 1993 in various management roles across manufacturing, market expansion services, consulting, and asset management. In 2006, he joined Indochina Capital as CFO, based in Vietnam, before becoming CEO of the firm’s Equity Division. In 2010, he joined Dragon Capital as COO and was appointed CEO in December 2017. Beat graduated with a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
Johan Nyvene

Johan has been a board member of HCMC Securities Corporation (HSC) since 2007 and was its CEO from 2007 to 2019. Under his 12-year leadership, HSC emerged from the ranks of mid-end securities companies to achieve the number one spot in early 2012 attaining the largest market share among 100 plus securities firms in Vietnam. He was appointed to the Board of Dragon Capital Vietfund Management in 2021.
Nicholas Roberts
Independent Non-Executive Director
Nick has over 25 years of investment experience, starting at Mercury Asset Management, then Merrill Lynch Investment Managers and Sarasin & Partners. He is currently at Troy Asset Management where he focuses on expanding its global institutional presence. He was appointed to Dragon Capital’s Board in 2016. Nick holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economic & Social Statistics from Exeter University and a Master’s Degree in Environmental Technology from Imperial College, London. He is also ASIP qualified and an Associate Member of CFA UK.

Farida Khambata
Independent Non-Executive Director
Farida is a Co-Founder and Partner at Cartica Management LLC, an investment manager with an active ownership approach to small- and mid-cap emerging market companies. Before Cartica, she was Vice President at IFC overseeing its operations across East Asia and the Pacific, South Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, plus the Middle East & North Africa. IFC originally nominated Farida to Dragon Capital’s board, before she was re-elected in 2016. She also sat on VEIL’s Board from April 2012 to January 2016, stepping down after its merger with VGF.
Raphael Gaglio
Non-Executive Director
Raphael is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Caldera Pacific, an independent private equity firm based in Singapore. He also co-founded Silverhorn Investment Advisors in 2010. Prior to that, Raphael was responsible for business development at Apollo Global Management Asia, following its acquisition by Holdfast Capital in 2010. He began his career at Credit Suisse where his experience spanned equity capital markets, equity derivatives, investment consulting, and wealth management. He was elected to Dragon Capital’s Board in 2018.
